HAITI
Adoption Blessings Worldwide has beautiful
children available in Haiti, and the adoption
process in this country is relatively smooth.
The average processing time is about two years from the time your paperwork is
registered in IBESR. The paperwork is standard,
with the only exception being a short letter
from a licensed counselor, psychologist or
psychiatrist attesting to your good mental
health. ABW works in conjunction with A
New Arrival to place children from Haiti.
Parent Requirements:There are no religious or upper age
requirements for adoptive families, and
single women are welcome.
Available Children:
Currently, we work with a well-established
orphanage. Both girls and boys are available;
however, there are usually more boys than girls.
The age, sex and number of children can be
specified. The children available are infants
(majority) to teenagers.
Referral & Travel Time:
The average time of an adoption is about two
years after the Dossier is registered in
the Institut du Bien Etre Social et de
Research (IBESR). Haiti is a wonderful
country to adopt from, and it is so close!
Escort service is available and recommended.
However, if you decide to travel there to
pick up your child, you only fly a few hours
out of Miami and the cost is reasonable.
While you are waiting for your adoption to
be completed, you may send gifts to your
child with one of our traveling escorts or
you may visit your child yourself! Both of
these options seem to help our waiting
families feel that their adoption process is
moving more quickly!
